Casting Director Denise Chamian, in coordination with Cast It Talent, is calling for self-taped submissions for a child actor to appear opposite Will Smith in the new film Brilliance. The role being cast is KATE, ” [a] 6-8 year old African-American [girl] . . . the daughter of Nick Cooper (played by Will Smith). She is a ‘brilliant’ child, meaning she has been born with an extremely high IQ which her father is teaching her to hide from everyone including her mother.” The film will be shooting in Pittsburgh. The deadline for submissions is June 2nd, 2014.
